Solo Male Global Nightlife: Your Entrance to Elite Bars and Clubs

As a solo male traveller, I’ve always wanted to check out the best rooftop bar or nightclub in every city I visit.

But once you find the spot, often the hard part is getting in. Basically, bouncers and security often don’t want foreigners coming into their exclusive bars.

But here’s how you get in if you desire.

Dress to Impress: The Power of Style

When you’re traveling solo and aiming to step into the exclusive world of international nightlife, your attire can make all the difference. Opting for a sharp suit or, at the very least, a well-fitted sports coat paired with stylish footwear instantly elevates your chances of gaining entry into sought-after clubs, lounges, and bars across the globe.

People do judge books by their cover, and this is very true in this case.

Strategic Connections: Meet Girls Outside

Another effective strategy is to become friends with a girl or groups of girls standing outside the venue.

Clubs often prioritize beautiful girls coming into their bars. If you can come in with them, the bouncers will let you in.

There is probably no cover for girls, but if there is, you can offer to pay for them.

Don’t worry if you’re in a foreign country. The cover is probably $5 or $10—nothing like the $75 or $150 in Las Vegas.

The Art of Persuasion: The Role of Gratuity

The third option is a discreet tip discreetly slipped to the doorman can work wonders.

While the amount may vary depending on the venue’s prestige, a well-placed gratuity, typically in US dollars, can often expedite your entry, smoothing your path into the nightlife scene.

I usually offer $40, and that usually works.

Face Control, Solo Male Travel

What is “Face Control?” Solo Male Travel Entrance

One concept integral to the nightlife scene, particularly in exclusive venues, is “face control.”

Unlike traditional lines, face control entails a selection process at the door, where individuals are chosen based on various factors, including attire, companionship, and demeanor.

There is no line. People just gather around, and the bouncer picks and chooses who comes in.

This became popular in the old Studio 54 days in New York and emphasized in Moscow in the 2000s.

While it may seem subjective, and some say complain that it’s discriminatory, adhering to dress codes and being accompanied by female companions significantly increases your chances of being selected.

Global Hotspots: Solo Male Travel Nightlife Adventures

With all of the above, you might think is all this worth it? I’ll simply say when I got into one of the most exclusive bars in Moscow back in 2019, I was surrounded by the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen. Wall-to-wall girls, and maybe 30% guys.

After Moscow, the Belgrade, Serbia Hilton rooftop lounge was also packed with with beautiful girls. Also you couldn’t beat the unparalleled views of Belgrade.

Some other notable cities with incredible bars are Croatia, Zagreb, and Stockholm, Sweden.

Embarking on solo nightlife escapades presents endless opportunities for exploration and revelry.

In conclusion

As a foreigner, you will have to prepare to get into the world’s best clubs and bars. By honing your style, leveraging strategic connections, and understanding the nuances of “face control,” you can unlock unforgettable experiences and revel in the excitement of global nightlife.

Have fun!
